Café Two-piece — Dressmaker pattern

A high-neck blouse and a separate straight skirt.

The silhouette

The Café Two-piece separates the look of the upper garment from a straight skirt. A high neckline and small cap sleeves give the blouse a tidy outline, while the slim lower shape offers a clear alternative to the broad starter skirts. This is the pattern to inspect when you want an everyday set rather than a sweeping party dress. The café setting is part of its story, but you can reinterpret the same components with a different palette for your own wardrobe.

Bodice, sleeves and skirt panels

Its component choices are High neck, Cap sleeves and Straight skirt. Keep an eye on the neckline when cutting the bodice: lowering it changes the fitted result even though the starting style is called high neck. The cap sleeve begins with a small shoulder covering, and its edge can be adjusted independently. The straight skirt uses the same left, front and right cutting sequence as the other skirt styles. Compare the lower edges together so the finished outline looks intentional when the pieces join.

Fabric combinations to try

Honey Stripe is the preset main fabric, giving the blouse and skirt a warm repeated pattern. Cloud Linen is the pale sleeve option and keeps the small shoulder pieces readable. Buttercup Linen, unlocked for purchase through progress, makes a softer yellow alternative if you prefer less contrast in the main cloth. Because the main and sleeve fabrics are separate choices, you can test one change at a time. These are color and texture-pattern suggestions, not additional material properties or an automatic increase in a customer score.

Customer story and occasions

Rowan recommends the Café Two-piece in the second chapter, after his sister has received her opening-day gift. The breakfast rush now calls for short sleeves and soft colors. His letter gives the context for checking the sleeve length instead of simply accepting the default. The pattern unlocks at 22 reputation. In free design you can keep the neat high-neck blouse or swap an unlocked bodice while retaining the straight skirt. Finished free-mode pieces can join the wardrobe or be offered in the shop window for in-game coins.
